The Santa Barbara Residence, Barton Myers' most recent residential project, was completed in early 2008.

The 5,000 sf single family house builds on Myers' previous steel house explorations where industrial components are used out of context. The residence is sited on 10 acres amongst olive trees and is designed to take full advantage of spectacular ocean vistas. An existing outdoor fireplace was preserved and serves as a focal point for social gatherings. Dramatic roll-up doors open the main living space to nature and blur the division between interior and exterior living space.
